With this Seiko Prospex 1959 Alpinist Modern Re-Interpretation, the vintage atmosphere blends with modernity. Visible through a transparent case back — another nod to modernity — is the 6R35 caliber. This modern automatic manufacture movement is the brand's mid-range caliber, an evolution of the 6R15. The foundation remains the same, with a 3Hz frequency, a central rotor for automatic winding, a quick-set date and a stop-second device; however, the power reserve has been improved to a comfortable 70 hours.
